Have you affixed the new 2023-24 EC sticker?
Check that your council-issued EC sticker is current. The new 2023-2024 EC sticker is a hot pink oval shape. EC bin service is approved by your council each financial year. You need to reapply for the service each year.
Following an 8-week grace period, FRWA has stopped collecting EC bins without a current pink sticker.
What to do if your EC sticker is out of date
If your EC bin sticker is out of date, please visit your council’s website and search ‘exceptional circumstances’ to complete an application or renewal form.
Alternatively, visit or call your local council office. If your council has an automated phone message, DO NOT press the button for ‘waste’, or you’ll be transferred to FRWA, who cannot issue the stickers. Instead, wait to speak to a council customer service staff member directly.
When will your EC bin be emptied?
Expired EC bins will only be emptied in the next general waste cycle when a new 2023-2024 pink sticker is attached. Expired bins do not qualify for a ‘missed bin’ collection.
I have applied for my new sticker, but it hasn’t arrived yet, when will my bin be emptied?
Once your bin has a current sticker applied to the front, FRWA will collect it in the next general waste cycle. Please check with your council to confirm sticker delivery timeframes.
