This graph shows the amount of General waste, FOGO and Recycling that FRWA trucks collected from each of our council regions this past year compared to the previous year. Overall, there has been an 2.4% increase in the total amount of waste collected from the previous year across the Fleurieu Peninsula and Kangaroo Island councils, with diversion rates remaining at 59%. With the change in summer collections, we expect the diversion rate of waste away from landfill to increase to 70%.
